The Smiths claimed that 878,000 people dropped their claims for sickness benefits rather than face a new medical assessment and that 8,000 people moved into work as a result of the introduction of the coalition’s benefit cap. Not one of these assertions was supported by the official statistics.

Wouldn’t it be funny if they turned out to be a pair of utter lying arseholes!!!

Under the legislation subsidized and unsubsidized Stafford loans would be recalculated every year and pegged to 10-year Treasury notes, plus 2.5 percentage points.

Currently, interest rates on those loans are set by the government. Without congressional action, the interest rates are set to double on July 1 from 3.4 percent to 6.8 percent  for millions of subsidized Stafford loans.

As usual, messing about on their phones!!

What you might not know is that they can then employ people to work for them (or maybe in place of them? Who knows?).

Some have really gone to town on this and the PCC for Greater Manchester has employed 40 staff and is on a salary of £100,000.

The PCC for Dorset is on the £70,000 and has employed a further 9 members of staff. Anyone local know what any of them do? LINK

Selective Amnesia

Yes! That’s what it is! Those 13-odd years where the Laws on Tax could have been sorted out and any loopholes made illegal but they did nothing.

Instead what we have, due to the utter failure of repeated politicians, are Tax Laws that are no-longer fit for purpose. What a surprise - politicians don’t blame themselves for their total failure they try to blame those who are following the Laws that they have created.

If what they are doing is illegal the solution is simple – lock them up! If it is not illegal – shut up!

The last thing this bunch of idle MPs ought to start talking about is anything to do with morals!!! How are those expense forms coming along?

Miller! Have you sorted that £80,000 yet? Morally speaking.  Just wondering.
