A 12th person has been arrested under Operation Yewtree, the wide-ranging investigation into historical sex abuse allegations prompted by revelations about the late Jim’ll Fix It star’s predatory activities.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “The 65-year-old was arrested at an address in Somerset and has been taken into police custody. He falls under the strand of the investigation we have termed ‘others’.” The main investigation is, of course, into Jimmy Savile during his time at the BBC. LINK
David Smith, 66, a driver from Lewisham, South-East London, yesterday became the only person so far to be charged as part of Operation Yewtree.
