So a 14-year-old, along with many other golfers, takes a little longer in a high pressure tournament over a shot but only the 14-year-old is penalised. That’s a bit odd and makes us all think ‘soft target’.
A long-established player breaks the rules of golf, which he MUST have known about, but is not thrown out of The Masters. Now that is very, very odd.
We can’t help but recall W. G. Grace who, on being out first-ball, turned to the wicket-keeper and said something along the lines of,
“Dear boy, nobody came here today to watch you but they did come here to watch me bat.” Not-Out!!!
