Dodgy-Dave Looks To Confuse The Public Over Claims Of ‘High-Speed Broadband’

Now it’s not that Dodgy-Dave is a chancer, even though everyone knows that he is. What gets us at TheField is that he thinks he can get away with it and nobody will notice!

When it comes to High-Speed Broadband then OfCom recognize it as being 30Mbps. Think of it as 30 mph as a point of easy reference. Now when Jeremy Isa Hunt was the Culture Secretary – you are correct, just as absurd as to think he could run the NHS – he decided it would help everyone if he called a speed of 24Mbps {24 mph} High-Speed Broadband. So a 20% drop in speed straight away!

Hunt also claimed that by 2015 the UK, not ‘parts of the UK’, the UK would have “the fastest broadband of any major European country”. LINK

Clearly that was complete and utter twaddle. Now Dodgy steps up and talks some complete and utter cak. His latest line goes as follows –

“Access to the internet shouldn’t be a luxury, it should be a right – absolutely fundamental to life in 21st Century Britain,

“Just as our forebears effectively brought gas, electricity and water to all, we’re going to bring fast broadband to every home and business that wants it.

“We’re getting Britain – all of Britain – online, and on the way to becoming the most prosperous economy in the whole of Europe.”

It’s all cak because what Dodgy is talking about is a ‘Broadband’ connection of at least 10Mbps {10 mph} – That’s a 66.66% reduction! He’s just taking the piss!

Dodgy then sent out his ICT Wizard Ed Vaizey {we couldn’t make it up!!!} who stated –

“We want to upgrade the universal service obligation to provide fast broadband speeds of 10Mbps for the very hardest to reach homes and businesses. Those at the end of the line, the last 5% that we are desperate to get to.

“So we’re putting in place this regulation that we’re going to consult on at the beginning of next year, to make sure that if you’re in that last 5%, you can demand, and you’ll get it.”

They couldn’t run a cockle stall on Lyme Regis Cobb.

they are real
