Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn is to appear on stage at Worthy Farm at next week’s Glastonbury Festival.
The Labour supremo, who has been officially endorsed by the UK grime scene, will address crowds at the Pyramid Stage on the Saturday afternoon before introducing US rap duo Run The Jewels.
The American hip hop act were vocal in their support of Democrat Bernie Sanders during his unsuccessful campaign for the US Presidency last year, while Corbyn himself was forced to cancel his scheduled appearance at the festival last year following the EU referendum.
Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis will appear on stage with Corbyn and he told the Guardian newspaper: “We’re Corbyn fans, that’s the thing.
“He’s got something new and precious, and people are excited about it. He really is the hero of the hour.”
