It seems that, for some reason we don’t know about, there is no TV being broadcast today.

26/5/12 The Quiz of the Week

No, this is not a cartograph – “Come on you lot, who’s farted?”

Who it is and why – try your best! Answer tomorrow.

19/5/12 A Moral Dilemma

John Terry – No Thanks. Come On Bayern Munich!!!

He gets let off going to court because he plays football,  if he gets picked, when you or we would have been in front of the Beak pretty damn quick. He then gets sent off for heroically kneeing an opponent in the back and is banned from the final. Mysteriously however, should Chelsea win the Uefa Champions League Final, he will be allowed to go up and collect the cup!!! The thought of pictures of him holding the cup above his head on the pages of the Sunday papers is just too much. What the hell is that all about? Football really does have some very strange values.

A shame for the rest of the Chelsea players, and what difference will it make anyway, but we have to be cheering for Bayern Munich – Come On!!!!!

31/3/12 The Quiz of the Week

24/3/12 The Quiz of the Week

In Budget Week there is only one option.

17/3/12 It’s the 6 Nations and The Quiz of the Week

Italy at 12:30, Wales at 2:45 and the last match of the 6 Nations begins at 5:00 with England and Ireland on St. Patricks Day. Will they be giving the stout away free at the train station this year?

Quiz of the Week looks like this:

Entry to the competition couldn’t be easier. Reply to the e-mail to send your answer in. Use your skill and judgement to decide which one is the odd-one-out AND why? Rack your brains and think what it is you know about each one and then decide why you think your choice makes sense.

10/3/12 It’s the 6 Nations and The Quiz of the Week

We have Wales and Italy at 2:30 followed by Ireland and Scotland at 5 o’clock.

We’ve also got Harry Hill. We are not very good at passing on any idea from the Philosophy of Life but there is one we reckon is always worth a thought. Know when enough is enough, when it’s time to say we simply can’t do any more. Food, drink, love and life all fall under this. Maybe it’s time to add that extra series of a comedy that is now out on its feet. Always better to remember how good it was rather than tedious it became. Too late now.

So now its –The Quiz of the Week Special!

Entry to the competition couldn’t be easier. Reply to the e-mail to send your answer in. Use your skill and judgement to decide which one is the odd-one-out AND why? Rack your brains and think what it is you know about each one and then decide why you think your choice makes sense. There is more than one answer this week but if you are a regular reader you can guess what the theme is. Names or numbers can be used to identify the Odd Ones Out.

3/3/12 Surprise Rugby match and The Quiz of the Week!

We’ve got the rearranged France and Ireland match – as long as it doesn’t rain or flood or the wind blows or the sun shines or something the French couldn’t predict for a March day.

Entry to the competition couldn’t be easier. Reply to the e-mail to send your answer in. Use your skill and judgement to decide which one is the odd-one-out AND why? Rack your brains and think what it is you know about each one and then decide why you think your choice makes sense.

25/2/12 Sports – BBC = 2

Ireland and Italy start the day for us at 1:30 and the crunch match – England and Wales – kick off at 4 o’clock.  At the end of these two internationals we have Gloucester and Harlequins in the Premiership.

Over lapping all this rugby is the second Twenty20 match where Pakistan have started winning again. Following on is a bit of a North West derby with Manchester City entertaining Blackburn.

Apart from all the sport there really isn’t much else on. Even Harry Hill is starting to look like he has done one Burp too many. Someone give his back a rub and he might just bring up something good.

So now it’s time for The Quiz of the Week.

Entry to the competition couldn’t be easier. Reply to the e-mail to send your answer in. Use your skill and judgement to decide which one is the odd-one-out AND why? Rack your brains and think what it is you know about each one and then decide why you think your choice makes sense.

18/2/12 Harry and lots of sport

It starts at 10:30 with the third Pakistan and England One Day international. Chelsea and Birmingham kick-off at 12:30 and then Sunderland and Arsenal kick-off at 5. We can then switch codes for Harlequins and Worcester before Harry Hill just about rounds the evening off. Good grief, it is only 8:20!

Still it is Saturday so it’s Quiz of the Week time! You may need a clue for this one: think body language.

11/2/12 Viewing news below

So we’ve got – deep breath – Manchester United and Liverpool at 12:45, Gloucester and Northampton at 2:15, Italy and England at 4 o’clock, France and Ireland at 8 o’clock, Harry Hill pops in between at 7:30, Blazing Saddles rides again at 9 o’clock and then there is Onion News Network at 11 o’clock. Busy, busy, busy!

TV Burp (Australian TV series)

7:30

It maybe half-term but it’s still time for – The Quiz Of The Week!

4/2/12 Great weekend ahead

All kicks-off at 2:30 with France v Italy followed at 5:00 with The Sweaty Socks v England (no bias there then! ff) In between these two is a collection of Come Dine With Me with the wonderful designer Sarah Angold – not to be missed.

Later we have a couple of comedies with a new series of TV Burp and a change of night, which seems odd, for the final episode of Mrs Brown’s Boys.

There may be some cricket still going on but as this is the second day of Pakistan v England it might be all over – for Pakistan this time for a change. The ever articulate Beckham also pops out (get it? ff) to tell us that he is “prepared to lead the GB Olympic football team”. Well isn’t that nice of him! Might be an idea to wait and see if you are even PICKED before telling us what role you fancy for yourself.

What a shame about Chris Huhne. So sad. A career in ruins. No, we can’t keep it up: great news!

All that means it’s time for – The Quiz Of The Week!

Entry to the competition couldn’t be easier. Reply to the e-mail to send your answer in. Use your skill and judgement to decide which one is the odd-one-out AND why? Rack your brains and think what it is you know about each one and then decide why you think your choice makes sense.

31/12/11 If you are not going out there is a bit on today.

BBC3 has three hours of the most annoying people of the year. Only three hours? They must have cut loads out. We do have to put up with Richard Bacon droning on but we can just about cope with that.

Jools Holland has his 19th Hootenanny and it is starting to show it’s age. Sandie Shaw and Cyndi Lauper? Might be time to call it a day.

Good deal of sport on with Man Utd up against Blackburn Rovers followed by Exeter taking on top of the table Harlequins.

Something else that has been flogged to death has got to be the “Three in a….” series. Three bores paid by us to have a jolly-boys outing. Enough.

That brings us to-

26/11/11 Lots of sport as usual

Indian Olympic officials will be voting soon on whether or not to Boycott The London Games. Dow Chemicals, Bhopal, Coe and a skirt for the stadium all come together again. This concern was brought to you first back on Thursday 17/11/11.

Saturday arrives so it is time to take part in the exciting new –

19/11/11 Big sporting day today.

Biarritz take on Saracens at 1:30 followed by Castre against Munster kicking off at 3:40. Finally 6 o’clock has Leicester playing Ulster. Stuck in the middle of this has Swansea trying to take on Man Utd.

Looks like we might finally get the true story about the night Natalie Wood died. It sounded dodgey at the time but thirty years on? Seems very unlikely but Wagner knows more than he has told already.

The odd one out is A – Billy Bragg, because he’s a musician and the other two are celebrity T.V. chefs – namely Brian Turner and Lesley Waters.

Well my only answer can be the slightly turncoat Braggmaster fro the reason “He’s the only one I recognise”. Have I missed the answer to last week’s quiz?
